Choosing A Lidsters Memorial

Each Memorial is a very special and individual item. At Lidsters of Worksop, we provide whatever help and advice you require throughout the process and beyond.

Our friendly, courteous and experienced team will offer guidance and assistance in the selection of a Memorial, working within your budget, helping to create a unique Memorial that matches your specific requirement and will be a long-lasting tribute to your loved one. We believe that almost anything is possible and encourage you to think of the images on the website and in the brochure as just a starting point.

The selection of each Memorial is a very individual process; here are a few suggestions that may help you to create an appropriate tribute.

Stage 1

The starting point is to consider your material and design preferences, (this is subject to local regulations – please feel free to get in touch to discuss). This can be one of our standard designs or something bespoke to suit your specific needs and budget. In either case, we will be able to assist you to create an individual and fitting Memorial.

We will have an initial discussion with you that will give us an indication of your requirements and we can also provide guidance on any Churchyard or Cemetery Regulations that could have a bearing on your Memorial selection. Every Memorial is unique and we always treat it as such.

Stage 2

It is our opinion that seeing and feeling examples of the different designs and materials that we can offer will enable you to fully appreciate the quality of our workmanship. You can visit one of our showrooms in Worksop or Chesterfield where you will be able to discuss your needs with a member of our team and identify which style, material, design and inscription you have in mind.

Alternatively you may prefer the convenience of being able to specify and order a Memorial from the comfort of your own home. We can offer a personal service that will allow this, whilst at the same time ensuring that you are fully involved in the process.

Stage 3

Once you have chosen the Memorial style, material, design and inscription, we will prepare a detailed specification and quotation together with a computer generated visual to demonstrate how the headstone will look.

Stage 4

We strongly advise that you take as much time as you need over your selection and do not make any hasty decisions as you must be completely comfortable with your final choice. Our staff will always be on hand to discuss any thoughts or queries you may have. Any adjustments or revisions that may be needed can still be carried out at this stage.

Stage 5

When the specification and inscription are finalised we will send a Confirmation of Order and Memorial Permit Application (where necessary) for your approval, completion and signatures.

Stage 6

Once the order is confirmed, the deposit is paid and the permit is approved (where necessary), we can prepare and fix your Memorial within the agreed time frame.

Please note that we only require an initial deposit to secure your Memorial and the remaining balance is not payable until the work has been successfully carried out to your complete satisfaction.

We can take a variety of payment methods including cash, cheque and all major credit and debit cards.
